What you're talking about requires ATA Support. Consider this stuff much later. ATA (with CF/SD/SM PCMCIA adapters) is reeeaalllyy sllllooooowww! Not for daily use, good for offline storage. You should buy yourself a couple of 20-32MB Linear Flash cards. They can be had sometimes for under $20. Linear Flash is Newton native and 20MB can be plenty of space for daily input, storage and speed.
