Ryan, you are truly a pioneer with ATAs. For I've not read anything to date
about ATAs of any kind (fast or no) being as fast as Linear cards or as fast
as internal RAM (which your description implies). Even so, can the Newton
take advantage of read/write speeds of 45mb/sec? Isn't there some kind of
hardware support required to attain these speeds? (I ask with the intent of
knowing for sure. Because if a 1GB Extreme III or IV is indeed as fast or
faster than a Linear card, I want to buy one ASAP.)
