No, but I don't think it would be of a higher success rate or effectiveness
to my unstrained experience.
There is little solder used already, but the issue IMO is that this is a
surface mount installation where a good portion of the soldered surface is
hidden underneath the crystal actually.
I think if I had more effective tools such as an appropriate soldering tip
that was pointed and thin enough maybe my experience would have been better.
This is an untrained non-technical understanding that I'm looking at it from
... though I've got a decent amount of actual soldering and de-soldering
experience.
