[NTLK] How would I find my Newtons serial number

Well the title says it all, I'm trying to register my Newton MP 2000 with Apple and I need to find my serial, There is a white sticker Near the serial port with asterisks at each end of it and a barcode, I tried entering it but it says it is not valid, Any ideas?
