I agree with Alex on this issue. Considering the age of the Newton platform,
and that lots of folks have already abandoned support for the Newton, paying
fifty bucks for an app is too much. One must consider the "depreciation" of the
platform over time. Would you pay fifty bucks, for example, to get an app to
run on that old Windows 95 machine in your basement? Very likely not. Twenty
bucks? Thirty bucks? depends on the usefulness of the app. Maybe Wi-Fi and some
database app support would be worth it.
I can also see the point of the software developers, who seek just
compensation for their efforts.
