| Anyone have a list of compatible GPS devices? It sounds like it supports
| anything that supports that "NMEA 183 software protocol" and serial data at
| 4800bps. Is that very common these days as far as GPS devices go?
Most GPS components speak NEMA 183 at 4800bps. I should have a TeleType
CFI GPS receiver in a few days. I'll post whatever compatability
information I can when it arrives.
| Or do I really need to hunt to find something compatible? Basically, I'd
| like to get GPS on my Newton just for kicks -- as cheaply as possible.
Well, "GPS" and "cheap" are contradictory terms. You're looking at $150 to
$300 for a PC-Card or CFI/II GPS receiver.
