Frank,

it recognizes the Alkaines and the rechargeables. The rechargeable pack
the was in it when the problem started was a rebuilt pack that I did.
I'm gonna check if it leaked. what are signs of that? Spliting of the
plastic casing of the individual batteries?

When putting the pack together I used a gel superglue for additional
holding of the metal plates. on your site you mention using a little
epoxy when you rebuild. What are the pros/cons of epoxy vs super glue(CA
glue)

Thanks for all the advice so far everyone,
O.

From how the battery compartment looks, I think that some
liquid has found its way into it. I do have an educated
guess about the reason of what you are describing, but
I need a little more info. Could you please install
NewtTest (available in the software section of the site
in the signature) and let us know what your 130 reports
(choose battery subtest) for the battery type when you
have a) alkalines and b) the rechargeable pack installed?

Regards

Frank
