Also no expert, but I've long heard that what you're attempting is not
do'able.
At best, you could erase/format the blank card in your Newt, then try
the usual bootstrapping techniques to load the bin back on it
(properly renamed, if necessary), but I still think that your Newt
would not recognize it as a valid soup (even with a pkg extension
instead of bin)...
