Well, I've never actually tried uploading/downloading MIDI files with
my Newton...I have a serial connection and a terminal emulator, and
could probably do it.
It would be fine, if you try it please report.
Then i would need to know if when using a Mac serial to Midi converter
is it possible to connect a Mac (not a Newton) to both midi input
and/or midi output jacks?
As a mac serial to midi converter requires a different circuitry for
the midi input and output lines,
i just would want to know if the mac converter you use already give
both the options in only one serial interface.
[I have tried to find more accurate infos about it on the web, invane -
If it still exist, i will appreciate a direct link]
As for accuracy, I assume that was with regards to playing back
relatively complicated MIDI files. All I've done is recording and
playing back myself playing to/from the keyboard. It's not terribly
complicated music, and as far as I can tell, the Newton handles it
fine.
the MessagePad is simply amazing
Many thanks
